Your journey begins in Nairobi before crossing the equator at Nanyuki into Samburu National Reserve, a rugged, exotic landscape offering striking photo opportunities of rare species like the Grevy's Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, and Gerenuk, alongside Elephants famously stained red from the Ewaso Ngiro River's mineral-rich mud. From here, venture south to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a Rhino sanctuary offering exceptional close-up encounters, before crossing the Great Rift Valley, pausing at the thundering Thompson Falls for a striking backdrop, en-route to flamingo-filled Lake Nakuru National Park, a paradise for bird and wildlife photographers alike.
The safari builds to its grand finale in the Masai Mara Mational Reserve, where three full days of sunrise and sunset game drives, timed to capture the region's legendary golden light, reveal the Big Five roaming freely across one of Africa's most photogenic ecosystems, punctuated by leisurely pool days and scenic picnic lunches to review and edit your best shots. Day by day itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL NAIROBI
Arrive at JKIA airport and are received by Diwaka Safaris representative and transferred to your Nairobi Hotel. The reminder of the day at leisure.
Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 2: Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve
Pick up from your Nairobi Hotel after an early breakfast and drive via Karatina crossing the equator at Nanyuki, to the Northern frontier district via Isiolo to Samburu National Reserve. Lunch at the Lodge/ Camp and enjoy a late afternoon game viewing drive.
Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/ Camp.
Day 3 & 4: Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy a sizable population of Elephants, Grevy's Zebras, Reticulated Giraffes, Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, Impala, Common Waterbuck, Dik-dik, Vervet Monkey, Hyrax, Baboon, and Oryx, which are our photo subjects.
The Elephants exhibit a striking red color at Samburu from rolling in the reddish mud of the Ewaso Ngiro River. From your lodge/ camp, enjoy the morning and afternoon game drives to a wide variety of habitats-open plains with Mount Kenya in the distance, narrow lush valleys filled with Birds, and towering cliffs where Baboons seek refuge at night from prowling Leopards.

Day 5: Samburu - OL Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, you will proceed to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Check-in and lunch will be served, then thereafter go for a game drive in the sanctuary whereby you will encounter several species of wildlife.

Day 6 & 7: OL Pejeta - Lake Nakuru National Park
Breakfast at the Lodge this morning, depart for the Rift Valley, passing via Nyahururu with a brief stopover to catch a glimpse of the Thompson Fall, the highest waterfall in Kenya. After lunch enjoy late afternoon game viewing & bird watching drive.
Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 8: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, commence drive south via Narok to the Masai Mara National Reserve to arrive for lunch at the Lodge or Camp. Afterwards, enjoy a late afternoon game viewing drive.

Day 9, 10 & 11: Masai Mara National Reserve
Early morning and late afternoon game viewing drives in this Reserve, with spectacular sceneries and diverse wildlife. Relax at the Loge/ Camp or pool in the mid-morning and early afternoon. An option of a full day Game Drive with picnic lunch can be organised.
Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/ Camp.
Day 12: Departure
After breakfast at the Lodge/ Camp, embark on your return journey to Nairobi. On arrival in the early afternoon, you will be dropped off at your Nairobi Hotel (use of room is excluded). At 19.00hrs, you will be picked and transferred to Carnivore Restaurant for dinner, then thereafter be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your scheduled International departure flight.

- 30 percent at the time of booking
- Balance 60 days prior to your arrival
Standard cancellation policy
In the event of cancellation or variation of services for whatever reasons, the Company shall be entitled to charge cancellation fees as set out hereunder:
- Cancellations received between 60 days to 45 days prior to commencement of Services shall be charged at 30% of the total cost of Services;
- Cancellation received between 44 days to 8 days prior to commencement of Services shall be charged at 60% of the total cost of Services;
- Cancellations received within 7 days or after commencement of Services shall be charged at the full cost of Services;
- The liability to reimburse the Company for the cancellation fees, non-refundable booking fee, no show fees, administration fee and the like, shall in no way limit or restrict the general rights of the Company to collect damages for breach of contract.
